Terms of service
The service
Talvo lets UK organisations run nominations, secret-ballot elections (FPTP, AV, Scottish STV, yes/no) and publish independently verifiable results. You (the organisation) are responsible for the accuracy of your voter roll and for adjudicating your own election disputes.
Credits
1 credit = 1 voter invited on any single election. The first 500 contacts on your active roll are always free, regardless of how many elections you run for them. Credits do not expire. Refunds are available if an election never opens.
Acceptable use
- Don't attempt to identify individual voters from ballot data.
- Don't upload contact lists you don't have permission to email.
- Don't use Talvo to interfere with statutory public elections.
- Don't attempt to overwhelm the service or probe for vulnerabilities outside our disclosure policy.
Election disputes
If a member of your organisation disputes an election result, Talvo will supply the evidence pack: the hash-chained audit log, the count sheet, the BLT export, and the email delivery log. The organisation adjudicates the dispute using its own rules of association or governing document. Talvo does not adjudicate election disputes.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Talvo's total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid for credits in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
